Lavender Hydrosol

Lavender Hydrosol • $12 … 60 ml ••• $20 … 118 ml

Lavender Hydrosol • This makes a lovely toner, suitable for all skin types as it is gentle, cooling & hydrating. You may also use lavender hydrosol to help reduce mental fatigue during the day & use it before bed as a gentle sleep aid.  So gentle may be used with children. Use also as a natural plant-based option for jet lag & for after sun relief; especially sunburns.

How to use: Mist affected areas. Children as a sleep aid: mist hair & pillow.  Sweet dreams.

What is a Hydrosol: It is a co-product of the distillation process that extracts lavender essential oil from 🌱 material. Many times more gentle than its accompanying essential oil. Safe for children, the elderly, cats & dogs.

I have this on hand at the Guelph Farmers’ Market Saturdays.

Travelling Essential Oils

If you are travelling this season, here are some suggestions of essential oils to incorporate with your sight seeing.

Worwood recommends starting the day out with one drop of each – peppermint & eucalyptus in a bath or tsp of carrier oil which is then well massaged into the torso and upper body. If using in a bath, blend the essential oils with bath salts or a cup of milk – which helps the essential oils emulsify into the water and not simply sit on top of the bath water.

In the evening she recommends the same methods of application and concentration level, but instead with lavender & geranium.

I suggest if you are a guy,  to switch out the geranium for a tree essential oil – e.g. pine, black spruce, sandalwood.

I also think simply inhaling each set of oils throughout the morning then later in the day while also be of help.

You may also try blending each set of oils in a 5 ml roll-on applicator, which you then carry with you throughout your days and apply as needed.  (FYI – you can pick-up a glass roll-on applicator from us at the Market on Saturdays).
