Benzoin ~ Styrax benzoin

There are some very interesting uses for benzoin, which strictly speaking, is not an essential oil, but rather, a resin.  The Benzoin I carry is steam distilled and diluted with alcohol for pourability (80% Benzoin, 20% alcohol). Available at the Guelph Farmers’ Market, Saturdays, 7 am – noon.

Benzoin has a rich caramel, vanilla-like scent. There are many uses for mind, body & spirit.

Here are some uses for Benzoin.  Please patch test prior to use on skin.  Benzoin can be a skin irritant; do not use undiluted.  Blend at 1% concentration or less.  Please consult an essential oil book or other professional reference source for suggested uses & dilution ratios.
